London-born and South African-raised, OD the Tourist is an R&B recording artist, songwriter and producer.

His relationship with R&B is shaped by the particular lens through which Britain has long viewed the genre: that of an admirer. Rather than attempting to reproduce the form wholesale, OD is interested in what happens when its most compelling elements, songwriting, harmony, rhythm, vocal arrangement and production, are absorbed and reinterpreted through the places and experiences that formed him.

For OD, those places have never been singular. Born in London and raised in South Africa, he now works across a wider British musical network while maintaining a home studio in Corby. It is there that much of his recent music has been refined. Records may begin elsewhere, pass through different rooms and collaborators, and eventually return home to be finished.

A producer as much as a recording artist, OD's work extends beyond his own catalogue. His 2026 production credits include “Do Better” by Eshé and “Inner City” by Aeacus, alongside the continuing development of his own material.

Following his 2024 EP Any Given Day, OD's current project, Therapeutica, turns that perspective inward. Framed through the language of therapy, the project examines desire, communication, trust and emotional reciprocity, tracing what happens when what is felt, what is said and what is understood do not quite align.

Its current chapter, “Proximity,” sits directly inside that tension.
