CASE STUDY 001 :
Socialheads - Social Services Application


The product entails two apps. A mobile app for workers and young people. Think WhatsApp but features tailored to provide support in the social services space.
A young person receiving mental health support for instance, 13-25 sometimes in vulnerable situation such as homeless or in care, limited access to internet or good services etc.
Social workers sually 25-60; managing multiple cases, not always that tech savvy
BRIEF

I was responsible for finding research on the child/young person side of the app and whilst it was difficult to get enough information to create consistent information there was also tertiary research that supplemented certain claims and they were combined to create
RESEARCH

The aim was to keep the homepage, simple but engaging, so we lead with the interactive Moodtracker and made the primary features accessible.
HOMEPAGE

This is the full prototype that was presented for the child side of the app.
PROTOTYPE

This feature was given to return the autonomy to the vulnerable young users so that they had a way to know what decisions are in their control
DECISION TRACKER

Again empowering the users to know what they are entitled to so they can be equipped with the knowledge to navigate their situations and resources at their disposal.
